The surf industry has traditionally flourished along the coastlines, however, exciting new technologies in artificial waves and wave parks could see a whole new industry sector develop inland.  Can you imagine a new inland surf culture developing with its own fashions, equipment, competitions and surf heroes?  How is this possible given the failure of wave pools and machines to achieve this over the past several decades? The answer is clear - river waves.  This is not just a dream rather a reality.  Surfing community, markets, and culture have flourished where we have built river waves . There are thousands of rivers in the USA alone that can support such waves - most cities have rivers flowing through them.  If you combine river waves with this inland geographic expansion of the surf industry the potential for significant growth is huge.
